Fuels, Oils and Lubricants

In order to offer you the best possible performance and a long service life for our devices and tools, STIHL develops and tests lubricants and fuels in its own laboratory. These are tested on test benches and in the field and are constantly being improved in cooperation with users. This is the only way to use all the skills that are necessary to achieve optimal results for people, machines and the environment. We call this principle the STIHL Optimum System.   Our fuels are precisely matched to our engines and to the interaction with the engine oils. That’s why we also offer a special fuel mixture for some devices, in which the fuel is already mixed with the engine oil. We also offer special saw chain adhesive oils that significantly reduce bar and chain wear.
